There's no reason skirts and dresses can't work in winter. Living in Canada, of course it gets quite cold. However, if you cover up with warm layering pieces, skirts and dresses can be a year round fashion piece.

I usually complete an outfit like this with a pair of heeled black boots. I love this look- it's definitely a go to this time of year! It's put together and presentable while still being casual thanks to the slouchy cardigan.
