What an absolute honour to be nominated (again) for Leibster award! It's such a nice concept to showcase smaller blogs and help each other grow our blogs. I was nominated this time by Dia who writes one of my favourite blogs- I highly recommend checking her out- thank you for the nomination girl!

1. What is the most challenging thing about blogging for you?

Probably finding the time to create content that I'm completely happy with and proud of. I'm very busy being that I'm a college student and my standards are quite high for what I want this blog to be. The lack of time accompanied with my desire for perfection don't really lend themselves to one another haha.

2. How do you deal with stress?

Umm... I don't haha. I'm so awful at dealing with stress that I usually wind up having a bout of anxiety during very stressful situations. Some things I've found that help me are journalling, yoga, and finding something calming to occupy my time like knitting or reading.

3. Did you start blogging for pleasure or money?

Pleasure for sure. I still only do it for pleasure.

4. What is one thing you can't go a day without?

Tea!! I probably have two to three cups of tea everyday! 

5. Is there one person or event you would say contributed the most to who you are today?

My mom for sure. She's such an inspiring and gracious woman and I've always looked up to her so much. She has taught me what it means to be a good mother, wife, and person. I love spending time with her and I cherish every moment we share.

6. Would you rather travel for the rest of your life and never set down permanent roots or would you rather be restricted to only one place the rest of your life?

Definitely one place. I'm very much a home body and the idea of never having permanent roots doesn't appeal to me. I'm a family gal and I definitely want a family of my own one day.

7. If you could only eat one the of food (Italian, Chinese, Mexican..etc) for the rest of your life what would it be?

Italian! Pasta, lasagna, gnocchi, manicotti, cannelloni, chicken parm... I'll weigh a thousand pounds but I stand by Italian haha.

8. is there a website or blog you visit every day? What is it?

Cozy Comfy Home by Lor, Career Girl Daily, MindBodyGreen, and FitSugar are blogs I visit everyday. As far as websites go, definitely Facebook, Pinterest, Bloglovin', Tumblr, ACSIS and Blackboard, and probably a few others that I'm forgetting.

9. Which social media profile has helped grow your blog the most?

Probably Facebook. I've joined a blog sharing Facebook group recently that has helped to grow my audience. That being said I haven't done too much promotion of my blog. If it grows that's amazing but I'd be happy writing it even if no one were reading.

10. What is your ultimate blogging goal?

To keep writing this blog consistently for five years.

Liebster Award pt.2 | Tag

I was nominated for my second Liebster Award by the lovely Ally from Ally Adores - go check her out!!

1. If you could only use one brand of makeup, which would it be?

Probably Revlon for a drugstore pick, I really love almost all their products and they don't break me out. If I'm going high end I would choose Smashbox- love their shadows!

2. Where is your dream holiday/vacation?

Definitely any sort of trip with just myself and my mom. I've always loved the idea of taking a mother-daughter trip. I'd really love to travel England and Ireland as well as the Canadian East Coast.

3. Tell us 3 great things about your life?

1. My family and friends 2. I'm incredibly blessed and I don't have to worry about much 3. I'm living in Canada's capital city, studying to be a photographer!

4. What is your favourite movie?

It totally depends on my mood. If I'm in the mood to just laugh, then anything with Adam Sandler. If I'm in a mood for action I'd go with any Mission Impossible or James Bond. The two movies I can watch anytime, no matter what my mood are Breakfast At Tiffany's and The Breakfast Club.

5. What got you into blogging?

Quite honestly, boredom. I was doing a gap year after realizing that my uni program wasn't for me. I've always loved writing and photography so it seemed like a good idea and it just turned out that I really loved it. 

6. You can only wear three makeup products on your face, what are they?

I'd have to go with concealer, brow pencil, and mascara. They're the three things I feel naked without haha.

7. What is your biggest goal in life?

Probably to have a gallery of my own prints. I think it would be so cool to have a space dedicated to my work that people would come to just to celebrate my photographs.

8. What is your favourite childhood memory?

It's hard to choose just one. I could narrow it down to any time my entire extended family came out to our camp for a celebration. We would always barbecue burgers and hot dogs, have a bonfire, and roast marshmallows for s'mores. The laughs we had and the genuinely great times we had there as a family is unforgettable.

9. What is your pet peeve?

I get really annoyed when people say that humanity is crap or that the world is going down the tubes. I believe that humanity is only as good as we make it and instead of complaining about how crappy our world is, we should do something to change it for the better.

10. If you could only buy clothes from one place on the high street, which would it be?

I'd have to say H&M. They've got such good quality clothes for really reasonable prices and I find that they always have something to suit my taste.

Liebster Award Nomination

I'm so thankful to have been nominated by Poppy Hope for a Liebster Award! I have had my blog for only a month now and I'm so surprised at not only how much I enjoy it but also how supportive and kind everybody on this platform is. Definitely check out Poppy's blog, it's one of my favourites that I follow on Bloglovin'. She has got an amazing blog with really great posts!

1. When did you start blogging and why?

I started blogging a month ago now and I'm really loving it. I started the blog mainly because I am taking this year off of university and I wanted to find a constructive way to occupy my time. I love reading blogs so I figured I'd loving writing one (and I do!)\
2. What is the topic of your blog? Why did you choose it?

I'm not sure my blog has a specific "topic", it's kind of a mix of a few different things. I love shopping and make-up and all that beauty/girly stuff, but I also really love good food and being artistic so I decided to make my blog a mixture of all the things I love. 
3. Where is the most interesting place you have visited?

I've never really had the opportunity to travel much since travelling anywhere from where I live requires either days of driving or expensive flights. I have, however, been to Ottawa which is the capital of Canada (the country I live in) and it was so cool! I really loved it- so much so that I'm moving there!!
4. Do you have an obsession? If so, what is it?

I have a few obsessions... chocolate milk, fuzzy slippers, home made ice cream, walking through bush trails, amazing smelling candles...you catch my drift, I have many things I'm "obsessed" with.
5. Who is your favourite famous person?

Hands down Angelina Jolie.
6. What is a fun fact about you?

Hmm... I'm a really good party planner? Not so fun, but it is a fact ha ha.
7. Where is your favourite place to eat?

My home (boring). I love to cook and I love to eat home made cooking a lot more than restaurant food.
8. What is your pet hate?

Rude people. I've got no time for people who are just mean.
